This is a two-year part-time Certificate Program (four terms) in “Islamic Fiqh”(العلم بالآحكام الشريعة الاِسلامية). The course starts with the basics of Islamic Fiqh, including terminologies, concepts and history of its advancement, and going on to a more in-depth dialogue on Fiqh of Ibadaat (حقوق اللة), Interpersonal Dealings (المعاملات – حقوق العباد), leading to a more exhaustive discussion on significant current issues that we face while living in Canada.
The lessons are complemented with live illustrations, tutorials and practice exercises. The CIK library has a collection of reference books on Fiqh and other pertinent subjects in Arabic, English and Urdu languages that are available to students.
Admission Requirements: No prior knowledge of Islamic Fiqh is required.
Certificate Requirements: The successful completion of four courses in four terms (two years).
