Vision:
The Centre for Islamic Knowledge (CIK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reviving the Islamic scholarly tradition, disseminating Islamic knowledge, and promoting Islamic intellectual inquiry.
History & Objectives:
CIK was established in December 2018 in Mississauga, Canada as a non-profit organization. CIK works to promote the spread and acquisition of Islamic knowledge at various levels. For the broader public, CIK seeks to inculcate an understanding of Islam based on the guidance of the Qurʾan and Sunna, the wisdom of early generations of Muslims, and the heritage of Islamic scholarship. To that end, CIK offers wide range of programming, whether it be for young Muslims who seeks to build foundational knowledge or elders who strive to continue their life-long journey of seeking knowledge. At the core of CIK’s mission is the contribution to building the next generation of Muslims who exemplify and Islamic personality that is spiritually and intellectually rooted in their faith.
CIK also serves a platform for intellectual growth and the sharing of ideas. Through its intensive seminars and CIK Talks, CIK is a forum where esteemed Muslim scholars, academics, and researches can share their ideas and contributions with the Muslim public and where members of the Muslim public can become acquainted with recent advancements in Islamic scholarship and research. Through such programming, CIK strives to promote interest in Islamic scholarship.
As the Umma faces contemporary challenges, it is in a greater need than ever for bright minds and leaders who offer thought and community leadership. CIK aims to play a role in building the next generation of leaders sand scholars who offer the leadership the Umma needs today. Through its new and unique Advanced Diploma in Islamic Scholarship & Leadership (ADIL), CIK aims to open doors and pave pathways for passionate seekers of knowledge to allow them to reach their full potential, contribute to the Islamic scholarly tradition, and serve as community leaders.
