His current research interests include Religion and Politics, Comparative Political Theory, and New Approaches to Islamic Public Reason. His books include Islam, Liberalism, and Ontology: A Critical Re-evaluation (Routledge, 2021) and The Contemporary Islamic Governed State: A Reconceptualization (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017). He is a graduate of Rutgers University, City University of New York (CUNY) and Purdue University where he completed his Ph.D.
