Ustadh Dirie Ahmed

Ustadh Dirie Ahmed is a teacher of Arabic, Tafsir and Hadith.  He first traveled abroad to Yemen in 2009 to begin his studies in Arabic and Qur'an. After some time there, he found his way to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he studied at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. 

He first completed a two-year Arabic certificate program, then a one-year Arabic and Islamic studies diploma.  Once those two were complete, he went on to complete his bachelor's at the same institution in Islamic Law (Sharia), graduating with a grade of excellent (mumtaz).

Alongside his academic studies, he benefited from various scholars privately in Al-Ahsa and elsewhere. Since returning to Toronto in late 2021, Ustadh Dirie has been busy serving the community by teaching Tafsir, Hadith, Arabic, and many other sacred sciences.

His hobbies include coffee, tech, and coffee. :)
